Milena Alice vs. Mila Alice

Dh and I decided on Mila because it’s so cute and refreshing but we are aware that the full name is Milena. Should we name her Milena and Mila as an nn so she can have more variety in nns as she gets older? Whaddaya think??

Sorry neither. It awfully tacky to name a kid after a Celeb. Why not just use Beyonce or Lady Gaga....

Milena is a lovely name. Personally prefer Millie as nn though than Mila

Both have teasing potential and most wouldn’t know how to pronounce them and will get it wrong all the time. Pick something unique from western names, not one that doesn’t fit in English speaking countries.

I think Mila Alice is very sweet and delicate. While Mila Kunis comes to mind I wouldn’t automatically assume the name was after her. Milena is ok, but doesn’t seem as nice to me

I like the idea of names that offer nicknames so that when the baby grows up, they will be able to choose what they like and assert their independence more. My vote is for Milena Alice :)

Both seems tacky and hard to pronounce :( I defo think of Mila Kunis for both names and she comes off as a conceited [removed]. I think most people would agree.

Wow. People on here are so rude. Mila is a beautiful name. Also Milla (pronounced like Mila) Jovovich has the name and she isnt awful like "apparently" Mila Kunis is. Mila is gorgeous. I voted Mila Alice!
