I agree with first poster. FN should match/go well with Chance’s name and then give him a Native American mn. Here are a few with their meanings:

Dakota: The allies
Halian: Full of youth (pr: hah lee AHN)
Hanska: One who is tall (pr: HAHN skah)
Koda: the allies
Tahoe: Edge of the lake
Seneca: Name of an Iroquois tribe; in Latin it means "Old". (Personally I’d only use this name on a girl, but the book says it’s unisex)

I think the pp’s suggestion of River would actually be a good fn to go along with Chance. It’s not a Native American name, but it’s a nature name which has a Native American feel to it.

I’m not a fan of Chayton, Clayton maybe - but not Chayton. I agree w/ other posters, River would be a good Nature Name to go with Chance.
