Lidia vs. Lydia

Last night someone stated that I spelled Lydia wrong, that Lidia was the proper way. Which do you guys prefer? Her middle name will be Eleanor. Thanks-

Never seen it spelled any way other than Lydia, which is way prettier IMO. GL!!

I have never seen it spelled Lidia, but that doesn’t mean anything. Regardless, the spelling Lydia is prettier, I think, and Lydia Eleanor is darling!

Thanks I figured it was the more common spelling. I too, never seen it as Lidia. Also does this name go well with siblings:

Noah Jacob
Anneliese Naomi.....

Lydia is the correct. Of course, I’m biased because my name is Lydia Marie.

Lidia seems to persist in Christian teachings. I very much prefer Lydia. My favorite name of all. Names... A rose by any other name would smell as sweet? Choose what you like. Your daughter will love it or hate it, who knows?
