Names That vs. Go with vs. last name Martin?

Hello everyone! I am pregnant with a son, and am having a naming problem. My mother does not speak English, only Spanish, so i would like a name she can pronounce easily. My husband, on the other hand, speaks no Spanish, therefore leaving me stumped. I would like a name that can be spoken in English and Spanish with no problems. What suggestions do you have for me? Thanks!

How about:
Isabel
Maya
Daniela
Adriana
Carmen
Gabriela (which is Italian I think, but your mom should be able to pronounce it)
Clara
Dina
Elena
Elisa
Lara
Lia
Luisa
Maria
Natalia
Nina
Olivia
Rosa

All these would be pronounced pretty much the same in either language, and most are on the Spanish origin list at babynameguide.com. I especially like Daniela with nn Dani, because she’ll have a cute, American nn with a beautiful Spanish first name to pay tribute to her heritage.

Um, whoops. So I just reread it and you’re clearly having a boy. So, um, don’t use any of those names! It’s been a long day lol. Keep the list on hand in case you ever have a girl!

Obviously the boy will be half Spanish, right?

Diego, Miguel, Joaquin (may be difficult for some English speaking people), Alejandro, Matteo, Luiz, Sereno, Garcia, Lopez, Cruz, Blaise (Blaze), Lorenzo, Ramiro...These are all easy for Americans to say.

Diego is great! Or:
Cristian
Antonio
Pedro
Raul
Mario

Or maybe pick an English name your mom can pronounce with a Spanish accent, maybe:
Donovan
Thomas
Sebastian
Jonah
Micah
Evan

I love Matteo. I’m usually not keen on using double letters but this is such a great name. He can go by Matt or Teo.

Teo Martin isn’t hard at all!
