Either Jackson or Jaxon. Even Jack or Jax would be fine. Although, I see no problem naming your child Jackson. It’s a common name and surname. Jaxon and Jackson sound exactly the same, so if someone is going to think you named him after your ex, they’re going to think that whether it’s Jax or Jack.

Then go with Jack... I agree with poster one. Or call your kid something else if it bothers you so much. You can turn a decent name into trash my trying to come up will stupid spellings.

Jax is good. Jaxon is fine and a recognized spelling of the name. It’s not like you made it up. People need to back off. Jaxon is #86 on the SS list so pretty much standard.

ALL NAMES ARE MADE UP! I think you could do a lot worse than changing the spelling like people using Neveah because its Heaven spelled backwards. Use Jax or Jaxon if you want. I know a lot of people that change normal spelling to make it more unique. There are so many ways to spell different common names like Emily, Emmaleigh, Emilee,

Just because a name is "standard" doesn’t mean it’s something to name your child. If the name Treasure or Precious was standard, would you call your child it?

If names like Treasure and Precious were standard, many people would be naming their children those names and not many would think much of it.
However, people name their daughters Precious and Treasure all the time. I don’t see how it’s any of your business if that’s what they like. You probably like a lot of names I don’t but just because we have different tastes, doesn’t mean that either of us is wrong.

^ I’m all for different tastes etc but there are times to draw the line. e.g. "@" "Number 17 Bus Stop", "Umbrella", "Fasterthansupermanbutnotasfastasspiderman".

I personally do not like Jaxon. Why not just Jack? But Jax and Jaxon and all the variations just seem too... not to sound mean, but "trying to hard". :( Sorry you’re going through all this!!
