Dorian vs. ?

I’m pregnant with my son due in December. I like the name Dorian but my family doesn’t. The babies daddy is not in the picture so I’m trying to please just my family. Is Dorian an ideal choice? If you don’t feel so could you recommend some names that are similar? Thanks. Jean

I think it’s a fine name - if you like it use it, your family can worry about naming their own babies!

I know a female Dorian, so that is what I think of when I hear the name but if you really love the name then go for it...I think it would sound cute with MN Dorian James or Dorian Owen

I don’t like Dorian it sounds odd. Suggestions: Declan, Dominic, Donnovan, Rowan, Nolan. I also like Julian, Tristan, and Owen as mentioned above.

I think of a girl with Dorian. My daughter has a male classmate with the name Darian.
What do you think of Darian?
