Middle name for vs. Mavis vs. Mavis????

I’m pregnant with my 3rd,(1st girl!!!) I recently saw Hotel Transilvainia (or however you spell it!) with my sons, Adam and Josef. The girl’s name was Mavis (Mae-vis) and I really loved it! Is it too out there and U need a middle name. thnaks!

Mavis is cute if I had never heard it before, but my Grandmother’s sister was Mavis and so I instantly relate it to an old lady.

Avis is a more modern version, it means "little bird".

I really like the name, even if it’s ’old fashioned’. Maybe it wouldn’t age too well, but I like it!

If we have a girl we’re naming her Mavis- we’ll call her Mavy for short. We are stuck between a few middle names. They are family members names.....Anne, May, or Lee
