Genevieve and vs. Guinevere ???? vs.

We’re having G/G twins! I love old fashioned, elegant medieval names. Of our list, Genevieve (Jen-ah-veev) and Guinevere (Gwin-ah-veer) have really stood out to us as our favorites. However, we realize they look very similar and may be too close for twins. But their sounds are actually quite different, and we love them equally on their own, not just as a matchy pair. What do you think??? Can we use both? We also need middle name suggestions. Thanks :)

Personally I hate matching names for twins, and these do look awfully similar... but they’re both so beautiful, and do actually sound different!

Well, my first reaction was -- ABSOLUTELY NOT! But, then I thought about the names, and looked them up at Behindthename.com ... and, you are right -- they are not really all that similar (except for the "G" and the "v") ... so, yes ... go ahead. But, please do look up the lyrics to "The Simple Joys of Maidenhood" from the musicial "CAMELOT" ... to find out more about my initial reaction to the names. Good luck!

If you give them nn like Gena (prn like Jenna) and Gwen, you can tell how different they actually are, especially since they are different G sounds!
