Bailey/Baylee - I love this name. Although originally unisex, it is now almost exclusively used for girls, and I think it is very pretty. I like the Bailey spelling best.

Hailey/Hayley - I like this name. Prefer Hailey spelling.

Bella - Is okay. Like Isabella better.

Teagan/Teegan/Teeghan - I don’t like this name because, for me, it doesn’t sound like a real name. It sounds made up.

Annika/Anicka - Very pretty name! Happens to be my middle name (Anika), and the different spellings do have a variation of pronunciation (annika: ann-ih-ka; anika: ahn-ih-ka). I like most spellings, but I don’t like the Anicka one.

Jordyn - Okay. I still like this name best for boys though.

Reagan - Very boy to me.

Rylee/Ryleigh - Also very boy to me.

Kylie/Kyleigh - Like Kylie best. Like the name.

Sienna - Pretty.

Sydney - Dislike.

Bailey-3. Its a cute name but might not age well.
Hailey-3.5. Cute. Again, probably won’t age well.
Bella- 2. I think of this more as a nickname for Isabella, which is quite popular.
Teagan/Teegan/Teeghan-0.5. I don’t like any of the spellings, but I have a friend who spells it Teygan.
Annika-The only person I have met with this name is German...
Jordan- 4.5. Don’t get creative with the spelling.
Reagan-0. I had a bad past with someone with this name.
Rylee/Ryleigh- 1. won’t age well with these spellings. Riley or Reilly, however...
Kylie/Kyleigh- 1.won’t really age well.
Sienna-2. It’s ok. Just not my favorite.
Sydney-3.5. It’s ok.

The names are trendy, but not trashy. They might look trashy with some of the spellings, but the names are fine.

Teagan/Teegan/Teeghan is a totally legit Irish and Welsh name you culturally ignorant fools

With the exception of Reagan and possibly Annika, these names all sound "white trash/aspirationally challenged." The listing carries strong undertones of teenage unskilled pregnant truancies, sordid domestic violence issues (usually involving a Chad or a shortstop, sometimes a shortstop named Chad), and lives made up of soul-crushing emotional and financial hardship- all with a finishing note of painfully unfulfilled hopes and dreams. As a collective, they sound like tab headings in a "disgruntled employees with dental concerns" file at the local pancake shack. (I’m not knocking anyone, I love pancakes...and waffles too.)

In short, I think it’s simply unfair to burden a child with any of these petlike names. Need proof? When was the last time you heard "CEO Baily?" or "SAT champ Kyla?" or "Sienna received her medical degree from...?" I know some of this may sound a bit harsh, but this nonsense has to stop. And as science has proven time and time again, names play a huge role when making a first impression- BEFORE we even meet someone. So I’ll end by asking a simple question: If you truly want the best for your child from the get-go, why would you ever shackle them in utero?
