Eliana vs. Elliana vs. Elyana
I want the pronounciation El lee ona so which spelling makes it the easiest to get that pronounciation...and if you have any other ideas on how to spell it let me know. I just don’t want my daughter to have to correct people all the time. Also, I have had a few people pronounce it Elaina and I don’t like that name so if I’m already having people do that it could be a problem for my daughter..... HELP ME PLEASE!! :) THANK YOU!!!

if you want it pronounced El lee ona how about spelling it Eleona or Eliona or Elyona. if it is spelled the other ways it will be pronounced El lee ana or Eeelayna.

It’s an Italian name, very pretty spelled the trad. way - Eliana. I can’t see why anyone would say it wrong myself. "Elyona" I’d be tempted to say like ee-lie-on-a. Trad. is def. best. People with the name Ana (one "n") always say the name like "on-a" so I can’t see there being a probelm. Honestly by messing with the spelling to make it more phonetic, it makes it harder to to figure out how to spell

Eliona looks like it would be pronounced:
el-ee-oh-na.
Trust me, I have an English degree. :)
Elyana I thing would make it harder to confuse it with Elaina, because you won’t be mixing up an a with an i.
Like I said, "ona" doesn’t sound anything like "ana." Reminds me of the lady I lived to forever named Leona.
"ona" endings sound just like that. Oh-na.

I can’t edit my previous post to correct my spelling. AWESOME since I just said I have an English degree. I meant "I think" rather than "I thing."

The way we spell my daughter’s name is Ellieahna. I liked how she has the name Ellie, Lieah and Anna all in one. We also think it’s pretty looking and more phonetic.
