Hattie Mae vs. Haddie Mae

Hi everyone! We are expecting our first (a girl) and absolutely love the name Hattie/Haddie. However, we can’t decide on a spelling. We want the name pronounced had-e, but we like the spelling Hattie better. But if you saw Hattie, would you pronounce it hat-e or Had-e? All input is welcome! I would say Hattie as hat-ee

If you want it pronounced Had-e, then you should spell it Haddie. If I saw Hattie, I would say it Hat-e
