If you like Blakley, spell it the common way. Any of the variations you have proposed will just give your daughter a headache when she gets older. She’ll be constantly be spelling, respelling, correcting people and pronouncing her name her whole life. She’ll also have to correct people who think she’s a male. I understand wanting to be unique, but think of your child’s sanity.

If it’s too masculine, maybe you should find a girlier name altogether. Spelling doesn’t change much, other than complicating it.

I was going to say exactly what Kara did. Changing the spelling doesn’t make a name more girly, it just makes a headache for years.

I think that changing spelling does make it more girly. I like Blakli for a girl, & Blakely for a boy. Same with Rylee for a girl and Riley for a boy. Some spellings are gender specific. Erin is a girls name, Aaron a boys same name different spellings. R1x
