Shaylee vs. Shaylie vs. Shayleigh

Since Shaylee seems to have won my last poll (Ayla v. Liliana v. Shaylee), we’re definitely leaning that way. Which way would you spell it? Do you have strong opinions for or against any of the spellings? Thanks for all your help! Kate, Simon, and Brenna

I think you should stick with the phonetic spelling. Shaylee.

I agree. The phonetic spelling, Shaylee, would be easiest on your daughter. I didn’t vote in your last poll, but I personally like the name Liliana best out of the three.

Okay...you don’t think the name is too cutesy with the double E at the end? I’m afraid it won’t age as well with that spelling.

I think it’s the name that ages well or not, not the spelling. It is, after all, the same exact name. Spell it how you want.

I like Shaylee the best, but my second favorite would be Shaylie...Shayleigh is very long and would often be misspelled (and believe me I’ve spent most of my life telling people it’s "Cate" not "Kate").

Ok, my friend is Shaylie and I like that spelling best. But go with Liliana, nn Lily. This is my baby cousin's name. Her sister is Ainsley, maybe instead of Ayla
