Gemma Grace vs. Gemma Paige vs. Gemma Kate

I absolutely fell in love with the name Gemma so it is not going to change (although I would love to hear your opinion on it). These middle names are not set in stone, we have no family names to use so if you are not a fan of these three feel free to suggest another idea. Thank you!

I really like Gemma Paige... don’t go with Gemma Grace, I don’t think it looks good with two G’s and Grace is kind of a boring (common) choice. Here are a few suggestions (btw I love the name Gemma):
Gemma Jillian
Gemma Hazel
Gemma Jane
Gemma Pearl
Gemma Lily
Gemma Danielle
Gemma Madison
Gemma Vivian

I think if you spell it with a G it will constantly be mispronounced, until the above commenter asked I would never question it being pronounced the with a hard G. Jemma would be better, IMO.

That was my concern as well but my husband pointed out that we have no trouble pronouncing gem so why does Gemma get mispronounced. I just prefer the look of Gemma to Jemma.

I love Gemma. When we had our first daughter in 2007 we chose Gemma Lillibeth for her name. The middle name is for her grandmother. She loves her name. Only thing that bothers me is growing popularity. Still I’d never change it.
We also considered:
Gemma Serena
Gemma Adelaide
Gemma Olivia
Gemma Lucille
Gemma Francesca
Gemma Noelle

Hope that helps!

I agree that Gemma would be pronounced like Emma with the G sound. I think Jemma would eliminate the issue. If you like the G though, go with it. Her teacher, employers, etc. will mispronounce it, but she will only have to correct them once which is no big deal. I’ve been doing it for years with my last name and it has NEVER annoyed me one bit.

I’ve never heard Gemma pronounced any other way than the "gem" start, so I think you’re fine. I like Gemma Paige or Gemma Kate- both are great! Gemma Caroline would also be nice.

Omg I absolutely adore the name Gemma!!! You’re daughter will be so lucky to have a gorgeous name.
Gemma Rose
Gemma Maria
Gemma Lucia (loo-chee-yah)

And definitely go with G! Gemma has really cute nicknames e.g. Gem, Gemzy etc.
and Gem means precious stone

Favourite name in the world <3

Gemma Paige is the most unique.
Gemma Kate is nice but the Kate part is a bit plain.
And definitely go with G! G for Gem
