Dorothea is a legitimate form of Dorothy and the nickname Thea is really pretty.

Matthea has the same name as Dorothy/Dorothea and is pretty cute. My nieces’ are Matthea & Dorothy.
You could also use Theodora

Dory/Dorie is my favorite nickname for Dorothy.
