Jared vs. Jarod vs. Jarrod
What are your thoughts on Jared? Is it too boring? I know it’s not as popular now, but was a few years back, so maybe it was overused. Also, do you like any other spellings better, like Jarred, Jarod, Jarrod, etc.?

I like Jered-the way it’s spelled in the bible. But either way, I like Jared. GL!

It’s definitely dated and I wasn’t a fan even then. It sounds kind of harsh to me. If you do use it though I would use the Jared spelling. That is the way I remember most ppl spelled it back then.

I like Jared spelled this way best. Jarod is fine too. Definitely just one R, though. Two Rs reads to me like "jarred" - as in having been jarred or startled by a loud sound or something. Jared was more popular some years ago, along with lots of other J names. But I don’t think it was ever overused like some of the others. I like it.

Jared is the best spelling, IMO. When I see Jarod or Jarrod, I automatically say rod instead of red at the end of the name and there os the possibility that others would mispronounce his his name as well. GL and Congrats!

I have a brother named Jared so I love this name. I wouldn’t say it is over used since he is the only one I know. I also agree about the os making people say rod instead of red.
