These were my favorites off of your list. I voted for Ariel, but I really love them all.

Iris is beautiful and underused.

Aurora is very pretty, but kind of hard to say, especially for young children. She’ll be ah-woh-wah to all of her peers in preschool and kindergarten.

Ariel is okay, but I prefer Arielle for a girl. Until Disney, Ariel was a boy’s name (think Ariel Sharon). Arielle is the feminine version like Danielle for Daniel or Gabrielle for Gabriel.

I love Iris. It’s lovely, and is all of a sudden becoming a popular name, but it’s not common at all, and is beautiful.
As for the others, I’m not too keen. I like Aurora, but I agree with the others- it’s very hard to pronounce, especially as a little girl. Whenever I think of Ariel, I think of The Little Mermaid. Arielle is a nice alternative, or even Ariella.
Personally, I would go with Iris. It’s in my list of names for my daughter.

Ooh! I like Iris Fleur!

I love the name Ariel. It is actually the name of my best friend as well. It’s beautiful and meaningful. Just to comment on a previous poster to this string-Ariel has long been a unisex name (the movie Footloose -just as one example, came out long before the little mermaid-and the lead female was named Ariel). As well, my sister’s name is Rachel and I have another friend named Isabel-same ending as Ariel-and both are female.

Ariel would be my choice. I’ve been considering it for my baby (due in July) as well. I’ve heard it recently in the tv series Medium as the name of the teenage daughter. It sounds very pretty.
