I like both but lean towards Dimitri. They are so similar, Demetrius seems sort more than is really necessary. It’s kind of over the top. Dimitri has the same appeal, but is a bit more restrained.

I like Demitrius as a formal name for the child, but use the nickname of Demitri. I find formal names present the child to the world as more accomplished, more professional, especially as they become an adult... and it gives the child a choice of names they may prefer to be called. I spelled it a bit different too for your consideration. Best of luck to you & baby.
