Harbor vs. Harbour

Which spelling of this name for a girl? Also middle name suggestions? I understand not everyone likes the name ("it’s too harsh sounding," "it sounds like a boy’s name," "it’s not a name"), however we were looking for a unique name with personal significance, and think it could be quite elegant on a girl. Would appreciate any polite thoughts you may have and of course any suggestions. Thank you all!

If you live in the US spell it Harbor, if you live in the UK spell it Harbour. I assumed it was for a boy to be honest because I immediately imagined either Harry or Barry being used as a nickname.

I think when you spell it Harbour even though not American spelling it sounds more feminine.

And btw I think it’s a so so so adorable!

I love the name Harbor for a girl its on my list for a girl and like u Harbor means something special to me.

The more I think about it I like the spelling Harbour too.

I love Harbour! I just added it to the top of our list too (so much significance) but I'm struggling with a middle name. I def see a one syllable middle name
