Maddox sounds like a boys name.......

Maddy sounds like a girl’s nickname and Maddox a boy’s name. Don’t know of any other nicknames for Maddox, but it’s not really needed since it’s a short name.

Maddox - I think its a boy name, but I would accept it as unisex.

Boy nn: Dick, Dickie
Girl nn: Maddie, Addie

I wouldn’t name a girl "mad" "ox".

maddox is definitely a boy’s name to me. and i wouldn’t accept it as a girl’s name. i am sick of strong masculine classic and great boy’s names being turned into girls. i only knew one matty that was a boy, but otherwise all maddy’s have been girls

Maddox sounds like a boys name, nn I guess would be Madd. Maddy sounds like a girl.

For a boy I think the nn could be Dex or Max. It doesn’t have to be spelt like the name. I have a Sabrina and I nn’ed her Bree. No-one ever looks at the two different spellings......I like Dex or Dax. As far as the Max as a nn, I also have a Dominic nn Nico and it works the nn could be a bit different, but not way off where people don’t get it.

I think Maddy sounds too much like a girl’s name. It may be cute to call him by this nickname while he’s young, but he will easily become embarrassed by it as he gets older. I suggest you call him "Madd" or "Mad" for short. I think if I were naming my son Maddox, I would just call him by his first name.

Max is what I’d call him.

I think Maddy is okay for a boy. When my nephew, Matthew, was born I called him Mattie, but the rest of my family thought it was weird. I’d go with Max

I like both, Maddy, like from 13 going on 30, and Max like from Wizards of Waverly Place for the name Maddox.

I call my friend Maddox, Maddog and Madman just for fun & silly names. But I'd have to agree that Max or dex is good. Maybe even Mad-X?

I also have a cousin named Maddox who is a girl, we call her Maddy Addy and Maddog. But the boy could also be called add or something like that

I think dox is a cute nickname for a boy

I have a son who is 1.5 old, his name is Maddox. While my wife calls him Maddy I also think that it sounds more girly. I call him Mac for a nn. I like the nn Mac for Maddox
