I don’t think it will age well. Try it as a middle name. Are you looking for a girl or boy?

Cai looks like a name cut off. Kai is a full name, but ambiguous gender. Unlike all those boy names on girls that are called ’unisex’, Kai actually is unisex because it’s used for boys and girls in different countries. So I wouldn’t use it except as a nickname.

Try a strong first name:
James
Hudson
Noah
Benjamin
Grant
Harrison
Howard
Seth
David
Patrick
Finn
Ezra
Michael
Marcus
Thomas
Christopher
Justin
John
Tyler

Strong names will pair nicely with Kai.

I think Kai works best spelt with a "K." I don’t see any reason why it couldn’t be used as a first name; I aways rather liked it myself. Middle names should be strong and masculine though, since it’s a unisex name. So, maybe:

Kai Samson

Kai Alexander

Kai Charles

Kai Patrick

Kai Vincent

Kai Abraham

Kai Zachariah

If you should decide to use it as a nickname, then I would suggest the first name Mordecai. But, I think that Kai works well as a name on its own. Good luck, at any rate. :-)

For professionalism in the future, I would go with something like Caison or Caidyn, and use Cai as a nickname.

The spelling of Cai is Chinese surname, my husband has it as his middle name. Each generation of the family will all have the same middle names.
Example, if your Father had a Brother, they would have the same middle name. If he had a Sister they would have that and an addition so it won't sound as masculine.
