Snowden for a girl vs. yes vs. no

What do you think of the name Snowden for a girl? I had a friend growing up who was beautiful (her brother is a tv star) and her name was Snowden. I think its a great name but everywhere I read it says its a boys name.

I just don’t like it, I think just because I don’t like thinking of snow and it sounds very last nameish to me. If you want to use a last name what about
