Bryn boy? vs. Bryn girl?

We are seriously considering Bryn as our boys name. It’s a very masculine name everywhere except here in the US. Is it too feminine to name a boy here in the US? I just love the name! Opinions???

Bryn is definitely 100% a girl’s name. It honestly would be like naming your son Addison or McKenna.

Don’t do that to your son, he’ll hate it some day especially when he meets a bunch of girls named Bryn.

Know a boy name Bryn Clarke. I never knew Bryn wasa girls name until someone told me. So I think itll be fine to name him Bryn. If you are having second thoughts you might like: Quin, Bryce, Brayden, Brody, and Trace.

I adore the name Bryn- for a girl! It’s totally a girl’s name!! I’m sorry, I know three Bryns and Brynns that are all girls. Also, one of them lives in Michigan so she can say that Bryn on a boy is not just a northern U.S. thing. I find Bryn incredibly feminine and would assume that it is a girl if I were a teacher calling roll.

My nephew is named Bryn Kristopher. He is 15 and has never had any problems with his name. I have never met a girl with the name Bryn. I am from the US (Mississippi) and know 2 Bryn’s. Both are boys. I think it is a great name for a little man. GL

BOY.

Bryn on a girl, is something I personally could never imagine. That’s just me. Regardless of how many people know of others of a specific gender, with this name does not make it automatically a name for that gender.
Though, I am not saying they are wrong... some might not realize that "Bryn" is completely masculine (A masculine Welsh name) and Brynn (Two "N’s" at the end)is a feminine version of Bryn.
So it is false to claim "Bryn" as feminine, it is a male name. Brynn is feminine.
OP, it’s a great name. Please do what you wish and do not let these things bother you too much. Take care!

I find it very odd to think of girls even using such a masculine name, but then im not from usa and its the other way around a girl with the name here would be bullied and assumed a boy.

Bryn is very much a masculine boys name traditionally I see no reason you cannot use it as such.

Bryn is a girls name. I know three girls in my town and have met two while traveling for business.

Its absolutely 100% a boys name, its welsh and not even considered unisex in most of the world. Nor is Brynn a legitimate girls version- its a modern respelling.
