Eyelet vs. Eyelit vs. ???

We have DECIDED to use the name Eyelet for our baby girl (pronounced EYE-lit). We have having trouble with a spelling though. Should we just use the traditional spelling, Eyelet, or do you have any suggestions to make it look better, but still have the pronunciation be obvious. We absolutely love this name, so please be nice. If you have any middle name suggestions, those are always appreciated. Thank you- Dean, Sari, and Belize Valerie(4)

It’s looks like eyelid and I can see how you think it sounds a nice name but I would spell it completely different so that people can’t really make the connection.

I think the suggestion of Ilette is the best it completely gets rid of any mispronounciation.
Ilette Grace/Hadley/Jolie/Regina/Millan..
Its a really pretty name well done finding it ive never heard of it!

I hope you realize "Eyelet" is what the metal ring that you put shoelaces through on sneakers is called. Not a very good name for a little girl. Maybe Isla?

Love poster 1’s suggestion of Islet, as eyelet reminds me of a hole where a string goes through.
