Caroline Kathryn vs. Caroline Catherine vs. Caroline Katherine
Does Caroline Kathryn work, or is it too much of a mouthful? My husband and I have settled on Caroline as the first name for our little girl, but Catherine/Katherine/Kathryn is a family name that is very special to me and that I really want to use as the middle name. Does the alliteration work? Which spelling looks best? Our last name begins with a P, and both names flow beautifully with it. Thanks for your help!

Honestly, both Caroline and Katherine are two of my favorite names, but they don’t flow well together at all. I’d pick one for your daughter and save the other for down the road if you decide to have another baby! GL!

Thank you, poster 1. I agree that the flow is not great, but this is our third child and we have not used Kathryn with our other two daughters for various reasons. I’m having complications with this pregnancy and I am not sure how many more children we will be able to have, and, of course, there are no guarantees that we will keep having girls! Thank you for your comment.
