Clara Wanda vs. Fine vs. Bad

We both are in love with the name Clara but we are worried Clara Wanda doesn’t flow at all. What do you think? Wanda is a family name so it absolutely has to stay as the middle name. If you think it sounds bad, please give us some other ideas (but not Claire). Thanks everybody! ~H&W

Yeah, not such a good flow. You could add a second middle name: Clara Elizabeth Wanda, for example. Or Clarissa Wanda sounds slightly better

You could add another name such as Clara Mae Wanda to make it sound more pleasant.

I had suggested using two family names and using two middle names, but my husband isn’t loving the idea. We don’t like the name Clarissa, sorry!

Well, Clara Wanda doesn’t sound good. So that pretty much leaves the option of changing one or adding something in. And since it seems you both love Clara and that Wanda is a must-use family name, then I’d say your best bet is to add a second middle name or make it a double first name, like Clara-May, Clara-Leigh or Clara-Jane.

My husband isn’t fond of two middle names, and I never liked hyphenated first names. We are open to looking for other first names, but we aren’t really fond of the ones that sound similar to Clara.

I agree with previous post- unless you add another name with it then it just doesn’t sound good. Claire Wanda, Jane Wanda, Lucille Wanda? Need an older, more classic name to flow with it. Good luck!
