Phaelan vs. Faelan vs. Phelan
Still thinking of boys’ names with a soft sound and preferably an Irish origin. This is one I came across today and I love it. Spelling variations are abundant!
Big sister is Hazel Aleydis
Thanks!

Blehhhhh... that’s a very feminine name. Especially with the word "Fay" in it, it’s just leaving him open to all kinds of teasing. I wouldn’t care for this name on a girl but it is MUCH more feminine. I would look for other Irish names that won’t be targets for humiliation.

Just curious... How will you pronounce this name?

It is pronounced FAY-lun
I’m not so worried about "teasing" especially where we live.
It’s more important for me to find a name that speaks to me, has roots, and isn’t overused in my area.

Lovely name! I don’t think he’ll be teased at all. I like Phaelan best, because I think I’d be tempted to pronounce Phelan as Fee-lun.

I called my son Phaelan, never regretted it. He hasn't been teased about it.
