just Mack vs. Mackenzie vs. Mackaroy
Which name do you like best for our son? He is being named after a dear friend of the family, Mackenzie, but we’re not sure of using the full name. Is it too overused by girls now? Mackaroy is a name my husband suggested as an alternate full name, but I’m not sure how I feel about it. Thanks!

Just Mack. Mackenzie is WAY a girls name now, he would be teased.

Either Mackenzie or Mack but nothing else. Any other Mack-name would sound way tacky. I’m inclined to say use Mackenzie and call him Mack. I know male Ashley’s and Lindsay’s and Whitney’s under 20 and they’re not teased.

Not feeling Mackaroy. I actually think Mackenzie is perfectly fine, particularly since he will be called Mack. And if his namesake is called Mackenzie, it seems the natural choice. My other favorite "Mac" name is MacAlistair.

Mackenzie is a girl’s name and Mackaroy sounds like a sausage. Mack is the way to go.
