Tinley vs. Tenley vs. Tenleigh
My husband and I are expecting a baby girl! Ironically, we have been together for 10 years (married for 2), our anniversary is October 10th, graduated college in 2010 and got married in 2010 (10/10/10). As you can tell the number 10 is a very significant number in our lives. So, we are debating on whether or not to name our baby girl Tinley? It\’s almost too ironic to pass up, thoughts?

I really don’t like Tinley at all but im not one to go against fate, kismet, serendipity, etc and if people are using Seven why not ten? if it seems meant to be use it! She will be a beautiful addition to your family! I like the suggestion of Tinsley better. Tensley looks a little too like tensely.

Im poster 4 and I agree that a 10 letter name would be really cute for you guys! Maybe use Tinsley or Tinley as a middle name for a double whammied "10" name.

You could look at ten in other languages, too. Like Dix. Maybe Dixie? I like Tenslie, too.

10/10/10 is a tattoo idea not a name you give a child. Give her a traditional beautiful name, not something made up like you are considering.

What about Tena? Like Tina but can also be spelled with an E. I would do 10 letter name but honestly choose something you like.

Not great names, and Tinsley just makes me think of tinsel. If you have to, maybe you can use something 10 related as a middle name, but really, I think you should just come up with names you like for your daughter - she will be happier for it.

Just met an 11 yr old Tinley. She was really sweet. Played with my 3 yr old and was quite social. She had a traditional 1st name, but she said everyone called her by her middle name. She loves her name Tinley and she wishes it was her 1st name. We were talking about names since I’m expecting.
