names with an é vs. (accented e) in vs. them?
Hi :) I am having my third daughter and we really need to find her a middle name that has an accented e (é) in it which allows the name to have an ’ay’ sound in it. Sorry that this is specific, but our other two daughters have one in their middle names (Renée- ren-ay & Heléne- hel-ayne) and we would love to continue the trend :) daughter #3’s first name will be Pauline if that helps, but you really don’t need to worry about her middle name ’going’, we’d just appreciate any name suggestions with an é as possible :D thank you. Natalie

I absolutely LOVE Léa & Léane, but I have a distant cousin named Leia (pronounced lay-ah) and a close family friend is called Leanne :( do you think it would be ok still, to use one of them? As a middle name? Thanks alot! (We quite like Éva also :)

Hm..I’ve never seen Helene with the accent aigue on the second e. (Usually accent aigue on the first and accent grave on the second e). Interesting. What about Pauline Mélia?

Not keen on Mélia, sorry but thank you! (And the French version of Heléne usually is spelled like this: Hèléne, but we only wanted one accent and decided the other wasn’t necessary anyways :)

^^ Actually, the French name is Hélène (ay-LEN). It’s my sister’s name :)
I think Pauline Cécile sounds nice!

Maybe the French one is Hélène :/ my aunt spells it with the accents the other way around, we thought that was the original French way :) thanks
