Sarah Grace vs. Sarah Faith vs. Sarah Hope

Okay, before you all start telling me that Sarah is extremely common and that Grace, Faith and Hope are all "filler" middle names, I know. Let me explain. I’m 22, and this is my first child, and it’s going to be a girl. When I was 15 and 16, my best friend’s name was Sarah. We were like sisters. When we were 15, Sarah found out she had a very advanced stage of leukemia, and it was untreatable. She died when we were sixteen. I’m naming my daughter after her, and it won’t be changed. I miss Sarah to this day. The middle names we’ve picked have to do with hopefulness and having faith, which is something Sarah strongly believed in, and she was a dancer, so Grace for that. Which one do you think goes the best? My husband and I like all three names equally. Thank you so much. Allison and Mike

I thinks that’s very honorable of you. I hate when people call these middle names "fillers" yet when they choose common first names like Emma no one calls that a filler first name. Good luck!

i think this is a very nice name you are doing for your friend. personally, though sarah is common, i think it is not overused and it still is one of those classics. because all of these names sound nice, i am going to critique them a little to show you how i arrived at my decision. sarah grace, if you say it fast, is just kind of hard for me, maybe it is something about the r’s i don’t know. sarah hope is nice, but the vowels are just on the verge or meshing together. sarah faith i think is the best. i really like the name faith and i think that it flows well. though it is unlikely, watch initials, for example, if your last name begins with a u, faith would not be the best. may your friend rest in peace.

Yes, this name is common. But it’s classic, girly, and altogether beautiful. I would never tell you not to name your little girl that. All 3 of these middle names are great and have a wonderful meaning behind them. The only way I could vote between the 3 is to know what they sound like with your last name, if you want to give that information. Anyway, good luck & congrats!!!

I LOVE sarah grace....I actually love the name sarah for a girl...everyone looks at me funny when I say that but I do I think it is beautiful and classic and will age with her. Congrats and I think that is a very wonderful thing you are doing by honoring her. I think your baby will be honored too!!!
