Name To go vs. With big Sis Gabrielle

Hey, my husband and I are having our second child this afternoon. He/she is coming via emergency c-section for several reasons at 35weeks and although its all come as a big shock, we’re trying not to focus on the complications that could come and are instead super excited to finally meet our precious baby. We don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl and still need to decide on a name! We’d really appreciate your help to find the perfect name for our little miracle :) thank you all so so much, God bless ~ Lauren, Gavin and Gabrielle Elizabeth (3)

Think there’s a surprise in store for you guys when we announce the birth(s) haha :D

Oh let me guess... it must be a hidden twin, or even triplets.... because that happens... right?
posted by guest :: 11 years ago | report
Right! :)

Well, in that case, I think it is fake. Having a hidden twin is extremely rare. The chances of getting all the way to delivery would be even more surprising. AND you mentioned having an emergency c-section and additional complications. As a high risk mother, I KNOW how careful they would be in looking and listening to the baby. Come one.... we have heard to many of these silly stories......

It definitely isn’t! I understand your confusion but it can happen!!! We were only aware of risks as of this morning as they only occurred then. And those risks came from the fact that we didn’t know there were 2 babies and complications have literally only just arisen! This is a massive shock to us too as I wasn’t aware that it could happen, but as my doctor informed me today... It can, it’s just very unheard of. We feel very blessed to have been given 2 more precious children!! Hope that explains it :)

yeah, ummm, ok. In general pregnancy, you have an ultrasound around 10 weeks. 95 percent of all twins are revealed at this time. Then again, most have a scan at 20 weeks. This is a very comprehensive scan, in which the gender is revealed, if parents desire. Measurements are taken. It would be virtually impossible to miss a twin at this point. The third scan, usually at 36 weeks is also comprehensive, giving doctors a chance to look at the weight of the baby. Once again, having a hidden twin is just not happening. Also, in approximately 6 visits, your baby’s heartbeat would be listened too, give the doctors about 10 chances so far to deliver "twins". Mix that with blood work- showing HCG levels and yeah, well, sorry.
