Jornina vs. ?

12 years ago when I was 13 I met and fell in love with a man named Jordan. 12 years later we are still together in love married and expecting our first child s baby girl! This event stirs up very big emotions in me because I remember being a teen and telling Jordan when we get older we will combine our names Jordan and Nina and have a daughter named Jornina. Now that the dream is almost here should we make Jornina our babies name?

The Top Baby Name is...

I don’t think so, people change and so do their tastes. Jornina I suppose could work as a middle name since it has special meaning to you. But I would still search for a different first name.

What a GORGEOUS story!! I think Jornina would be VERY sweet and if you wanted the rest of Daddy’s name included then you could even do

Jornina Dannika/Danica/Danika/Dannica

Danika means Morning Star so if she’s born in the morning that would be even more appropriate! God bless and all the VERY best with your Dream Come True!! :D

I think you should choose another name for your little girl. She should have her own name and ’write her own story’.

Of course it’s very cute that you made up something like this when you were younger. But your daughter should have the right to decide for herself which meaning she gives to her name.

Lovely story but PLEASE don’t name your daughter thar awful name. I know it sounds li, e a sweet story but that is such an unflattering name. Please reconsider.

Could you drop that first ’n’ and do Jorina? Then I don’t think it is as bad as Jornina which does sound horribly tacky. Cute story, but let’s be real here. Jorina sounds fine to me, pair it with a classic middle name like Michelle, Elizabeth, Katherine or something of the sort.

I like the idea but agree maybe you should use it as a middle name rather than a first name as it has such significance

I’m sorry, but it’s really ugly sounding. It’s a very sweet idea, but those two names don’t mesh well together at all.
