Mary vs. So underused vs. It can stay underused

I have mixed feelings about the name Mary but it is growing on me as great first name or middle name. I just find old fashioned names adorable but all I hear are Amelias and Evelyns. What about Mary? What do you honestly think? Thanks for your opinion~ Helena

I think Mary is a beautiful name! You could always do Mary Kate, Mary Anne, Mary Claire or Mary Beth as a first name. Use it. ~Ruthie

Or you could look on Social Services and find names from as early as the 1880s.

Thanks for your suggestions. I’m probably not going to use Mary because there are too many other names I like but I do wish more people would use Mary.

I’m not too fond of it but it would be alright as a middle name. Maybe Charlotte Mary or Eleanor Mary?

Love it-
I feel like for many many years it was a classic and then it faded into oblivion for quite awhile now.I’d love to see it make a comeback!

I love Mary. It was my grandmother’s name, and never hear it anymore. It makes me sad.

I love Mary. I’m especially a fan of double names that involve Mary. Like Mary Frances, Mary Kathryn, etc...
