Kyrie Eleison vs. name with attitude vs. total child abuse
I found the origin of Kyrie. "Kyrie Eleison" is Latin or Greek or something for "God have mercy." I like Kyrie and had zero middle name in mind. I like Eleison too, and I think it’s mature enough if she ever wants to drop Kyrie. Is this a crazy combination?

I like Kyrie but I think you could find something much nicer than Eleison. It just doesn’t look very attractive, especially the -son ending. Am I right in pronouncing it Eh-lay-son?

I like the daringness of the combination, that’s why I want to keep Eleison. ~poster

Honestly, it seems tacky if you’re goal is to be ’daring’. But if it really has special meaning to you then go for it.

In what way is it daring? And how is Eleison pronounced? I like Kyrie.

I think you could find something daring, that is also appealing as a name. I actually like Eleison (Uh-Lie-son) but if I was considering it it would be only for a boy as it sounds very masculine.

It looks interesting but I don’t like names where the pronunciation isn’t clear and I’m between three possible pronunciations for this name.

Kyrie is beuatiful. Where did you get the middle name from. It isn’t my taste but if you love then it’s fine, especially in the middle name spot.

I think Kyrie is pronounced Keer-ee-ay. Is that how you intended it to be? Or were you going for Ky-ree? or Keer-ee?

I wasn’t specifically aiming to be daring. I had my eye on Kyrie all along and was not actually planning on a middle name, but I thought Eleison was a cute pun. Pronunciation Kir-i-ay El-ay-son. If anyone knows what the authentic original pn is, please let me know! ~poster

My name is KIRA ELEISON - and ELEISON is pronounced "E-LAY-SAHN" not "SON" as in male boy child
PS: the KIRA part is pronounced "KEER-RUH"

My name is Kyrie-E-Leison, I'm in my 30s and can tell you nobody knows how to pronounce my name. The origin is Latin and means "Lord, have Mercy." I am in fact a girl and this is my whole FIRST name. It is not meant to be split up, though I go by only "Kyrie" to make it easier on people.
Kyrie-E-Leison is pronounced "Key-ree-eh-lay-sahn"
