Eilidh Jenna vs. Eylidh Jenna

We know that our daughter will be called Eilidh Jenna but we are unsure of what spelling to use. Eilidh is pronounced Ay-lee. I like the Gaelic way but my partner says Eilidh looks complicated to say so he came up with how he would spell it. Which one should we go for?!?!?

Eilidh is beautiful but I’m a bit confused. Is Eylidh your husband’s spelling? I don’t understand why he thinks Eilidh is too complicated but he would be happy Eylidh. I can understand if he wanted to go for an Anglicised version, like Ailee or something, but Eylidh is even more complicated than Eilidh because it’s a mispelling. I think the traditional Eilidh is the best choice.

Eylidh looks too like eyelid - Eilidh is definitely best.
