Unique names close in vs. Sound to Sophie? vs. Or has Sophia as a nickname?

I come from a family of very unique and weird names. My husband and I really like the name Sophie Elisabeth for our first baby girl. I feel like if I name her Sophie she will feel out of place in my family! To give you a little idea of my family names, my nieces are Mahogany, Astrid, Temperence, and Poet. My nephews are Draven, Thorin, and Cove. So are there any unique names that are similar to Sophie? Or maybe has Sophie as a nickname? Thank you! -Samuel & Sinead

I dont like Sophie but what about Sophania, Stefania?

What about Sophronia? It’s a Greek girl’s name that means "Wise" and you could still call her Sophie.

Story isn’t my favorite, but it’s a possibility.
I am looking for a name that is similar to Sophie, just not as common. I have gotten the suggestion of Zofena and Zovi so far.
Not sure how to pronounce Sophania? Stefania isn’t for me though.

Considering Astrid was only on the ssa charts at 937 in 2005, I would consider it a unique, uncommon name. I have never met another Astrid.

I really like Zofie as an alternative, Zofie Elisabeth would be kinda cute!

Saffron
Sapphire
Seraphina
Sabelle

Saffia is the only similar one I can think of but looks a bit like you wanted Sophie but then worried it was too popular.

Sophisticate Elisabeth...pretty unique.

Saffron Elizabeth and call her Saffi as a nn.

Sutton Elizabeth?

Best bet is to forget Sophie and go with an original name. I don’t think there is anything with Sophie as an nn unless you use a very made up name.

Your nieces and nephews have some pretty terrible names. Go with your instinct on what sounds good. You don’t have to conform to your family’s weird naming patterns.

Sophina?

I wouldn’t base your choice on the rest of your family - if you love Sophie go for it.

that said, I personally find it rather overused.

Maybe consider Saphira or Saffron?

If you like Sophie use it. To be honest she is lucky you are not into that style, their names are dreadful and they will never be taken seriously as adults.
