Beatrix Lily vs. yay vs. nay

Beatrix has always been our middle name of choice, but we’re starting to consider it as a first name. We’re still a little wary as it’s very eclectic and full of spunk... my husband loves and defends Beatrix until his last dying breath, but I’m still worried she may not be bold enough to wear it proudly. Bea (bee- ah) will be her nickname 98% of the time as we adore Bea. Lily is usually our first name choice. Big brother is Arthur Miles, "Teddy." Please tell us what you think! We’re so conflicted! Thank you!

Personally I think Lily Beatrix sounds better, but if you love Beatrix so much, it’s a perfectly good name and starting to make a comeback.

Love Beatrix Lily so much!! Arthur Miles "Teddy" and Beatrix Lily "Bea" are stunning! I like how both Arthur & Beatrix are more old-school and underused and Miles & Lily are more well known. I think that they both have nicknames really balances it out too. For me Arthur Miles "Teddy" and Lily Beatrix looks unbalanced

Lily Beatrix is better. Beatrix will probably want to use her middle name when she’s younger anyways, take it from someone who grew up with an old fashioned name. Bea is hideous, not precious, I’m sorry I don’t like letter names. Lily Beatrix is so much cuter!!

I love Beatrix! Although I prefer Beatrice. What I like even better is the nickname Bea. (Is is pronounced Bee or Bee-ah?) I think Beatrix can still suit a quiet girl.
