I don\’t think you\’re going to get it with either of those spellings.

I would pronounce Leeilah: Lee-lah and Leilah: Lay-lah

I think your best best is to go with a double/hyphenated: Lee Isla, Lee Ilah.

Would you suggest Leigh-Isla then? Or could we do Leighila? I really don’t like the idea if a hyphenated first name.

My daughter’s is spelled Leeilah. She’s 16 now and does have to explain that it isn’t ’Leila’ or ’Lee-lah’ - but everyone loves her name once they can pronounce it!

My name is pronounced lee-eye-lah. But I spell it Leila. Nobody I first meet can say my name but I think it's funny.
