Briar vs. Rory?

Hello. I posted a few days ago and got quite a lot of hate about my name choices. I’m not here to be hated on or warned that my son will be hated on, I’m here for suggestions. We’re definitely either naming him Rory or Briar. (No, Briar is not just a girls name. It’s unisex, we’ve asked so many people and have had just as many people saying boys, as there were girls.) I personally love Briar the most however my partner prefers Rory better. Even if you don’t like our name choices, please suggest middle names that could go nicely with both. Thank you! (Hate will be reported)

Briar nn Rory?

You choose what you love. I would use Rory, simply because Briar is a unisex name, and there could possibly be a girl in school with him named Briar. I’d go with Rory Briar like poster 1 said.

Lol, any boy name you choose will possibly put in class with a girl who shares his name. My son has a girl in his school with his name and he’s not the only one. It’s pretty common now and it doesn’t bother any of the kids I know.

Rory Sebastian is a good choice, Rory sounds more masculine than Briar. I think you should have a masculine sounding middle name to avoid confusion and Sebastian is a good strong name.

Poster 10. I’m using Briar on a boy, therefore cannot use Rose for a nickname. And I like Briar nn Rory.

If you use Rory as a nick name. I would spell it Brior.

I also think Brior would be a great option - looks more masculine.

Rory is also a unisex name (think Gilmore girls), so go with either one! Neither are just for boys or girls
