Kensley vs. Any thoughts?
I really love the name Kensley- I loved Kinsley, but it just didn’t sound...right. I think the kin sound at the beginning really threw me. However, we both think Kensley (maybe nicknamed Kennie on occasion?) is perfect! Any thoughts? Middle name will be Amy/Amelia to honor family..
The Top Baby Name is...
Kensley
Any thoughts?

I thought it was a boy until I saw Amy/Amelia - too masculine in my opinion.

I don’t like it because it’s cutesy and modern, I much prefer elegant names. Kinsley doesn’t sound like a name that could be taken seriously.

Kensley is just way too cutesie. It may sound adorable on a baby but can you imagine a Grandma Kensley? or a CEO Kensley.
The name Amelia Kensley, however sounds very classy. Amelia is a name that ages well and looks good on a resume and if she wanted to go by her middle name she could without her name looking childish and unprofessional.

Agree with above - she wouldn’t be taken seriously with a name like Kensley, fine in the middle.

I doubt we’d use Amelia as a first name... But we do really like Makenzie, Kennedy, and Annalise! But we would really love to still use Amelia/Amy as the middle! Thoughts? And thank you for your honest opinions. It’s better for us to know now then later.

I love Annalise. So pretty and underused. I’m a little tired of hearing Makenzie and Kennedy. By the way, Kennedy means ugly head in Gaelic so I would avoid that name too.
Annalise Amelia sounds fine. So does Annalise Amelie...
Also Mia can be used to honor an Amelia as well. Do you like the name Mia? Mia Annalise is a really cute name.

Annalise is lovely - it will age so much better and it is a very pretty name. Annalise Amelia is perfect.

Kendra is, for some reason, not at all pleasing to my ears. We don’t want to honor the family member (my mom) in the first name. So you think Annalise Amelia sounds OK? Or Annalise Amy? My other favorites are still Makenzie and Kensley. Thanks ladies.

I like Annalise Amelia but Annalise Amy also sounds good. Honestly MaKenzie and Kensley will not age well, Makenzie is so overused and neither are pretty. Sorry, I know you like them, I just think Annalise is a much better decision and I think your child will thank you for it.

Ladies, I really appreciate this! Your comments help a lot- I do love the names but its better to know the negatives now rather than later. I just posted a new poll...
