baby vs. girl! :)
Hey y’all! My name is Kait, and my husbands name is Evan. We have a two year old son named Elijah (Eli) Reece. We are expecting a little girl soon! We love the name Hartley Ann, we think it’s just the cutest name! We’ve gotten mixed reviews on this name. What do y’all think? Thanks!

I don’t like it because it sounds made-up not classy. Eli and Hadley would be really cute.

If you and your husband love it that’s all that matters. My family thought my husband and I were crazy with our name choices but now they love them. Just use what name makes you two happy and it will grow on others.
I think Hartley Ann is beautiful!

The recent trend toward using surnames for girls’ first names is just that, a trend. That will mean that by the time she is a teen, her name will sound very dated. The mixed reviews you are getting are 50% honest. The ones who say it’s okay are probably trying not to hurt your feelings. Better that you know now, though: it is quite unattractive. So is Hadley.

Eli sounds more old-fashion, while Hartley sounds very modern so the names don’t make sense together.

Hartley and Hadley are both tacky and horrible names. Give your daughter a real girl name.

Hartley reminds me of Harley Davidson motorcycles - not a good connotation.
