Middle Names/ Thoughts On vs. Aviva !!

My husband and I are almost positive we want to use Aviva for our first baby, a girl, but we wanted some opinions first. We have not told our family the name and plan on not telling them until after she arrives (early December!) but I have to get someone’s opinion on my princess’s name! So could you tell me what you would think an Aviva would look like, how she would act, etc? Thanks so much it means the world -Hope & Paul.

Aviva sounds like an airline or something, not a fan sorry. How about Vivian or Alina or Vera? All better choices in my opinion

Aviva is adorable! It’s so uncommon but is still recognizable and can be pronounced. I love it!

I don’t like it and certainly would not use it personally but I there are names out there a million times worse than this. I am sure she will grow up to suit it and it is unlikely one of her friends will be named the same name which is a plus.

As long as you don’t use Vivi as a nickname, it works alright as a first name.

I’m British and here it’s an insurance company. If you live somewhere else in Europe or in the states, I do not think it will be a problem. GL

I have heard of Viva but not Aviva. I think I prefer Aviva to Via, it makes it slightly more classy. Overall though, not the world’s biggest fan. Best of luck

I love this name! It can be spelt backwards and forwards the same way, just like Hannah. It is a lovely palindrome.

Honestly, I think Aviva sounds like some sort of medication you’d see advertised on television. I don’t really like the sound of it.
