Fun, Quirky vs. Names for a vs. photographer’s child!
Hey! I’m Leah! My husband, Jake, and I are expecting a baby in February! We are a young couple who have our own photography business. We want a name that is cute, quirky, and fun. Something that will surprise people. We have seen so many names from our job that nothing really surprises us anymore! The sex is staying a surprise, so any name ideas for both a boy and a girl are needed! Thanks! -Jake, Leah, and little one

I don’t know if surprise is exactly the best reaction for a name...typically names that surprise me aren’t in a good way, but more like "your parents seriously named you that?" So I’d go for something low on the popularity list, like Tara, Norah or Kelsey, which might surprise people in a ’pleasant surprise’ kind of way. More like "oh yeah, I haven’t heard that name in a while!"

We want surprise to be like
"Wow that’s a cool name. Never heard that one before!"
Poster 1: Those names are too Greek mythology for us. Haha. We like shorter names.
Poster 3: Love Amity!
Poster 5: Amy is so boring now! I know literally 6 Aimee/Amy’s who I am friends with!

Two names I’ve heard recently that I’ve never heard before are Zara (ZAR-ah) and Ellia (EL-ee-ah). Maybe you’ll like those.
