Elliot vs. Elliette

We have chosen this name for our daughter and theres no changing it. It’s been chosen for years and years. But we are unsure how to spell it. Could you please help us choose? Should we go with the traditional Elliot so she doesn’t have to spell her name constantly or use Elliette so its a little more girly? Let us know! Thanks!

I love Elliot, boy or girl, and prefer the spelling Elliott for a girl.

Use the feminine spelling. Trust me, she will have to spell her name anyway... after getting a weird look where people ask "Elliot like the boys name?" I don’t know why you’d want to do that to your daughter, but the least you can do is spell it in a way that people will recognize as not being male when they see it.

Use a feminine spelling. That’s the least you can do with a boys name.

Elliot is a boy’s name and Elliette is a very pretty French girl’s name. No contest really!

Different names and totally different pronunciation.
Elliette which is FAR, far better for a girl has the emphasis on the last syllable
