Stumbled on this! My name is Fionán, from Ireland and I’ve had all sorts of native Irish speakers pronounce it differently over the years, all claiming to have the right one. I’ve always been raised with the pronunciation: Fee-Non however. I’d say Fe-yon-an is acceptable as well, though that’s how a similar name Fionnan is pronounced.
