I think about tripping people or that the person is going to trip when I hear this name. Not good.

Trenton is the only similar name I can think of.

Tripton... no. Sorry, but it’s tacky and made up. Tripp is ok as a name but I wouldn’t use it, there are so many nicer names out there.

Tripton is okay. You could also do Triplett.
Even Waltrip. Although I think Tripp is a name that stands on its own.

Wow i’m so glad you think my suggestions were awful since clearly you haven’t seen some of the names that have been suggested or even USED on this site. At least they aren’t made up, they are Real names. You don’t know what people will like with such different tastes and that was really rude and tacky to say that they are awful, I was only trying to think of names that I know where you could use Tripp as a nickname. I know a Triplett and I’m sure his parents will be glad to know his name is just awful! Lol. Also I don’t personally know a Waltrip but I’ve heard the name. Neither are made up, like Tripton clearly is. If the poll isn’t for you, theres no need to call someones suggestion who is only trying to help come up with other names awful. She asked for "similar" names. You don’t have to like them.
