We have vs. a list!

Hi everyone, I posted earlier about my daughter’s name. My fiancé Luke has a little boy, Jack Owen, and we want our daughter’s name to go well with Jack’s, only I like very uncommon names and Luke likes popular names. We got a bunch of suggestions and have actually got a list that we both like! It’s so exciting! Please take a look and let us know what you think, thanks. Angela, Luke and Jack

I really like Lydia and Lara! I think both sound great with Jack and are unique yet can easily be spelled and pronounced - they’re not made-up sounding either. Love them!

All are lovely names and any of them in any combination would be very pretty. It is hard to choose a favourite but I think I would pick -
Amelie Scarlett

You have some great names there.

I have always loved Amelie. Amelie Scarlett would be gorgeous :) I also think Lucia is beautiful and the nickname Lucy goes well with Jack :)

Most are too overused/popular. I would choose Imogen or Lara from this list.

My favorite is Imogen and if I could pick and match it would be Lucy Imogen. I think Imogen is the least popular of your choices.

Imogen is one of the fastest rising names for popularity right now.

Amelie - Lovely name 9/10
Lucia (nn Lucy) - not my cup of tea 510
Scarlett - Nice and pretty 7/10
Imogen - bit overused 5/10
Lara - Lovely 8/10

Amelie - Very pretty.
Lucia (nn Lucy) - Love Lucy, not crazy about Lucia
Scarlett - Okay
Imogen - Dislike

If this is for a family in the US, I don’t know where you got the idea that Imogen is overused.

Imogen was used for 111 babies in the US last year. Scarlett was used for 4,019.

If you’re going to give people advice, please know your facts first.

Lucy and Scarlett are definitely the most popular of your choices followed by Lydia. Lara and Imogen are the least used. My personal pick would be Lara.

Thanks everyone. We have eliminated Imogen and Lucia. We are left with Amelie, Scarlett, Lydia and Lara. I like Scarlett as a middle name but does it sound too rhymey with Lara?

I think Lucia nn Lucy would have perfection, especially with Jack Owen. However Lara Scarlett is also pretty.
