Please vs. pick your vs. top 3

Hi! We are expecting a little girl in December and are having trouble deciding on a name. We would really appreciate it if you could pick your 3 favorite and least favorite names from our list (we’ll post it in the comments) and why you think so. Thank you! - Amanda, Tom and older siblings Milo, Elodie and Lyra

Top 3:
1. River- such a beautiful name, I much prefer it on a girl.
2. Sally- It’s my best friend’s name, she’s beautiful and so is her name.
3. Jane- Classic. It’s a name for a strong woman.

Bottom 3:
1. Annie- I have never liked the name Anne, and especially not Annie. It sounds harsh. It does not sound appealing.
2. Siri- It reminds me of my iPhone. What about Sari (pronounced Say-ree)?
3. Juliette- It’s just a very boring name.

This was really hard since i love so many of your names but my top 3 has to be:
Clara- Beautiful, ages well and isn’t overly popular
Tea - so cute and underused, I just love it.
Novalie - Adorable!

Bottom 3:
Irma - I’m just not a fan
Nellie- I think it’s more of a pet’s name to be honest, really cute though
Halle - it’s pretty but I always think of a very rude person I used to know with that name

Top 3
Aurora - I think this is going to be the prettiest alongside her siblings.
Esme - always loved this name but spelt this way, there’s no need to add extra letters.
Hazel - such a cool old lady name! It’s fantastic.

Bottom 3
Greta - ugly (sorry) even an ugly sound.
River - too hippy sounding.
Tea - I can only think of tea, as in the drink, if you mean it to be pronounced tee-ya it should be spelt Tia.

Top:
River- So pretty! I really like the name better on a girl
Téa - My nice’s name, it’s adorable!
Juliette - classic, feminine, ages well and just simply stunning.

Bottom:
Irma - I think it sounds quite harsh and it doesn’t really flow with your other children’s names.
Beatrice - Never been a fan of the name
Jane - cute but pretty boring

Good luck!

Top 3
Clara - lovely and simple
Hazel - sweet and yet solid
Athena - it has both an old and new vibe that is very appealing, imo

Bottom 3
River - this is such a boy name that I completely don’t understand why anyone would use it for a girl
Tea - there would be pronunciation problems, even with the accent mark
Avery - also very boyish, though not quite as boyish as River

Like:

Beatrice: my mom’s name. It is beautiful, and the possible nicknames are pretty.
River: nice and nature-loving.
Livia: a lovely name. Sounds good, looks good, and is not overused.

Dislike:

Annie - sounds like a nickname. I think diminutive-sounding names sound weaker and are not appropriate for adult women.
Nellie - same as above.
Novalie - sounds like a beauty product.

Top 3:
Aurora - This is fresh and lovely.
Hazel - Spunky and pretty, with just enough vintage quality to give it class.
Gemma - This one is really nice, kind of like Jewel.

Bottom 3:
Elsie - It seem too nicknamey. Elsa nn Elsie would be pretty.
River - This is awesome on a boy, not so much on a girl
Nellie - It’s nicknamey like Elsie. Eleanor nn Nellie would be nice.

most of these names are good names, but not very many of them go well with your other children’s names; my top and bottom picks are based on that, not my own personal favorites:

Best w/ siblings:
Juliette
Beatrice
*Esmee* (I especially think this one goes well, b/c it ends in a vowel sound like all the others, but not the SAME vowel sound as any of the others)

worst w/ siblings:
River
Sally
Irma
all three just seem very contradictory in style to your other children’s names.

Like (They flow with the siblings’ and are still cute)
Annie
Avery
Jane

Dislike
Tea-If it’s pronounced Tia, spell it T-I-A. If it’s pronounced tea then that’s strange.
Nellie-All I can think is Little House on the Prairie
Siri-iPhone...

top 3:
Aurora-Beautiful as is but can also have the spunky nickname Rory if she’s more of a tomboy.
Juliette-Gorgeous and "princessy".
Clara-Lovely and sweet.Always makes me think of ballet.
(consider Aurora Jane.I think that is a stunning name!)

bottom 3:
Nellie-Too "nicknamish" and always makes me think of the bratty girl from Little House on the Prairie.
River-All boy in my opinion.
Livia-Olivia would be fine but I’ve never liked it this way I think it feels incomplete.

She already said it’s pronounced TEY-AH, I think it’s really cute but you have so many great names my top 3 has to be:
Livia
Gemma
Aurora

Bottom:
Beatrice
Nellie
Irma

Top 3:
Aurora-beautiful name
Ruby-cute
Jane-classic name that is good for all ages

Bottom 3:
Novalie, Siri, and Esmee are all too made-up sounding in my opinion.
