I actually hate this name. It doesn’t look "real" and it sounds very made-up. I believe that you have to consider your child and what is going to be good for them when they’re infants until they’re 105. Can you honestly imagine a successful CEO named Riverlyn? I can’t. I can picture a stripper, though. That’s not rude towards you or the baby, it’s just what it sounds like and what it makes me think of. There are strippers and porn stars with the names Jaden (various spellings), as well and that’s a popular but very trendy and made-up name.

I don’t think Riverlyn sounds like a stripper/porn name at all! It is different and unique without being weird! I like it. These are my fave combos:

Yes! Streamlyn! I absolutely love the name and was not being rude in any way, so there goes your assumption. You know what they say about assuming!

I guess Rude-lyn is kinda cute, though I don’t usually prefer hyphenated names. I would call her Rudy for short.

Thanks to everyone who isn’t rude. I am the poll maker and I really love Riverlyn. It’s different, yes. And I also agree that it’s trendy. But seriously.... I would rather use this name instead of Emma or Madison and have 10 different girls answer me when I call out her name. The rude opinions aren’t going to change my mind. I don’t think anyone is out to change your mind. You asked for opinions and you got them. If you weren’t concerned with what people thought of the name, you would have just chosen it and not made a poll. It’s not rocket science figuring out middle names ... you just pick up a baby book or google. You came here for opinions. You can’t "make rules" as to what kind of opinions and/or comments you receive.

If this site didn’t allow for honest opinions then we would only have the option of checking "yes" or "no" on a poll.

Riverlyn is very cute. I dont even think it sounds made up. and i agree, im SO SICK of seeing freakin Madison, Jayden, Emma, Jade, Grace, Ava and all of those other plain jane names. And Raelyn?? COME ON! that totally sounds and looks made up! I adore the name River and lyn makes it even more beautiful. And i have to say, Rio seriously sounds like a boy’s name to me. And even if River is most often used for boys, unisex names are very much in right now.

honestly, Riverlyn isnt very attractive on a grownup, i can see it on a lil kid, but not on an adult.

Honestly I’m not fond of Riverlyn. I like River for a boy, not sure if I care for it on a girl, but I do like the suggestion of River as a fn and Lynn as the mn, more than I like Riverlyn as one name. GL!
